Wassily Chair Model Making (Group Project) & Wassily Chair Drawing (Individual)
Based on our research for previous project, we had to produce a scale model (1:5) of the actual design. Then, we had to sketch 3 different views of the given chair by using pencil on an A3 paper. We also had to add in human figure for one of the view, brief information of the chair, identify the formal organization and list out 3 keywords(tangible and intangible). We were told to hatch the drawings with pencils to show its depth and shadow.

Wassily Chair Model Making - Progression

Materials used for Wassily Chair model making:
- Straw (Black)
- Paper (White)
- Sugar Paper (Black)
- DUNLOP CA Contact Adhesive
- Hot Glue Gun
- Wood Glue
- Spray Paint
- A4 MDF Board

We were supposed to use leather for the seat, so that it will more looks like Wassily Chair, but since we were using straws, we decided to use sugar paper because sugar paper is lighter than the leather. We also had to put in rolls of paper into the straw to make it more stable.

Reflection
For the Wassily Chair model making project, I had a great time working with my group again. It was fun making the model and we can play around with the materials. Overall, I am proud of what we had done and proud to be in this group. The final outcome was very cute and quite satisfied. It's good to learn new things and get different experience from all my group member. For the Wassily Chair drawing, I think it's hard to think about the 3 keywords.
