Assignment 1 - Working Drawing (Interior Detailing)

To encourage students creativity and intelligently use combination of materials such as Metal, Synthetic Materials, Glass, Timber, Stone, Brick, Ceramic, Concrete and Plaster as building materials in interior detailing.

Objective:
-Gain knowledge on various building materials and finishes in the role of construction in Technology and Design.
-Study on the building joineries and discover the interior detailing as an integral part to any holistic design.

Learning Outcome:
On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to:
CLO 1: Demonstrate the ability to research, understand and appreciate the historical and cultural role of materials including its physical properties, aesthetic quality and finishes appropriate for interior installations and its effects on interior spatial qualities.

Task:
1a) Select an appropriate combination of
BRICK AND CERAMIC, CONCRETE AND PLASTER detailing of
Interior space provided:
- Feature wall

1b) Select an appropriate combination of
METAL & SYNTHETHIC MATERIALS detailing of furniture provided:
- Seating Unit

1c) Select an appropriate combination of
METAL, TIMBER & STONE detailing of furniture provided:
- Built-In Counter

Requirements:
You are required to observe, identify and draw PLAN, ELEVATIONS, SECTION & DETAILS of the given task.
All drawings must be manual drawing on A3 size CARTRIDGE PAPER complete with title block and with proper specifications & dimension.
